Special OU Men’s Basketball Ticket Offer

December 14, 2007

Here is some information I recevied from the OU Athletic Department that I thought was really cool (no pun intended) considering the horrible weather conditions that have plagued the state recently:

NORMAN- This week has been very tough for many Oklahomans with recent winter weather and resulting power outages. In response to that, the University of Oklahoma Athletics Department has announced plans to offer $5 tickets to Saturday’s men’s basketball game vs. Arkansas for all those affected by this past week’s winter storm and all OU faculty and staff.  In addition, OU students are being offered free admission for the game with an OU ID.

“We realize there are members of our community who are going through a difficult time right now” said Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Programs and Director of Athletics Joe Castiglione “It has been a long week for many people, including members of our own staff, so we want to offer a special  opportunity to come have some fun, support our Sooners, and display our great spirit to a national TV audience.

The 2007 Big 12 Champion football team will also be at Saturday’s game.  Players will sign autographs from 1:00-2:00 pm on the upper concourse (one item per person please). The team will be recognized at halftime and address the crowd.

Oklahoma men’s basketball rally towels will be in every seat of the arena for all fans as well.

Saturday’s game vs. Arkansas tips off at 2:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on ESPN2 in front of a nationally-televised audience.

To purchase tickets , call 800-456-GoOU. There are a limited number of tickets available for the game. Tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis and are subject to availability.

Let us keep all the people of Oklahoma in our prayers as they attempt to get there lives back to normal.

The fulform is weblogs. Blogging is quite common for the general internet users today. By writing a blog one can directly interact with the other surfers in the virtual space. Every online person today has a blog account or accounts. A blog is an internet page, just like a site. It is almost like an internet diary; the only thing is that people can easily view it. It is a good way to do mass communication. I have been blogging for the last 2 yrs, and it’s really fun. I love to see comments, and most of them are really funny. There is also one more thing that is very near to a blog, which is the submit section of most of the sites. What happens is that most of these pages are pulled over by the search engines, like the websites. This helps one to generate traffic and make a blog get the success. There are many sites which even pay a user to write a blog, and some where you even pay to read one. Though paying for reading is not the best I suppose, but if they pay for writing its ok. Blogs are a great success these days, and if you want to make people come to your page more offen then start posting again and again. Blogger is a free site to write blogs. It’s very simple, just make an account and start posting your blogs. Also if you want more people to see your blog, then it’s very important to submit the url of your blog to some of the big search engines, like the google and msn. Blogs can also be an addiction, so if you really have this addiction, then I prefer to have a adsence account, as you will be paid to write your blogs. You will have to put an adsence ad in your blog, and you are done. Now that some of the celebrities are coming to this blog field, its popularity is going to increase by the day.

Got something to say?
